This is a big area of interest of WEV. We offer comprehensive lameness investigations both for first opinion and referral cases. We have the experience and expertise as well as the necessary equipment to diagnose most lameness issues. Diagnostic procedures commonly performed include detailed lameness examinations, nerve and other local diagnostic blocks, xray and ultrasound examinations. Some diagnostic modalities (eg. CT, MRI, scintigraphy) will need referral to larger hospitals either at Gatton or Sydney and with our long experience working in some of the biggest hospitals in Australia we have good understanding when referral for these modalities is indicated and can be useful in the management of a case.
